CE mark for FlexGRIP® Neo. PICC, PIVC and Alpha

September 3rd 2025

Today marks a major milestone for our company. We are very proud to share we have received the CE mark  for our FlexGRIP®  Neonatal range of products. As of today, our FlexGRIP® Neo. PICC, PIVC and Alpha are available to all European NICUs.

Why was developing this neonatal range of securement devices so important to us?

  • Every year, nearly 1 in 10 newborns in Europe is admitted to a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in the first days of their life, leading to around 400,000 admissions per year.
  • Premature babies are a particularly vulnerable population, because their immune system is immature, and their skin is not yet an effective barrier against infections.
  • With the number of premature births rising each year, it is vital to prevent infections in this patient population.

At Bedal International, we take the development of our securement devices very seriously. As per our mission, we aim to provide the best catheter care possible for both patients and caregivers.

Over the years, we have learned the importance of dedicated products that are designed for

  • specific conditions – like the high humidity incubators on the NICU,
  • different skin types – like the sensitive neonatal skin
  • different size ranges – to accommodate for tiny neonatal bodies.
“We always prioritize patient safety and comfort in our design process. Our FlexGRIP® Neo. range uses Zinc Oxide adhesive for strong yet gentle adhesion that reduces skin irritation, plus soft materials and trimmable patches designed for premature babies' delicate bodies. Together we can make a difference for our tiniest patients.”
